Undo fancy fonts and decode escape sequences in one step.
Three independent options let you pick what to reverse. Escape decoding handles backslash u sequences, U+ notation and HTML numeric entities. Styled letter conversion maps bold, italic, script, gothic, double struck, circled, squared, fullwidth, small caps and similar alphabets back to ordinary letters. Mark removal strips combining characters, which turns zalgo, strikethrough and underline back into clean letters.
The result is plain text that works with search, spell check and screen readers.
It covers the standard Unicode style alphabets for Latin letters and digits. Decorative symbols and look-alike letters from other scripts may not map back.
Accented letters stay unless combining mark removal is on, in which case an accent written as a separate mark is removed.
That tool strips markup and invisible characters. This one is focused on decoding Unicode escapes and reversing styled alphabets.
