Make sample IP addresses for tests, documentation and mock data.
IPv4 addresses are four random bytes. By default the generator skips private ranges such as 10.x.x.x, 172.16 to 172.31 and 192.168.x.x, as well as loopback, link local, multicast and documentation ranges, so the result looks like an ordinary public address. IPv6 addresses are eight random 16 bit groups written in full.
Add a suffix such as /24 or /64 to produce network ranges instead of single hosts.
A random public address might belong to a real device. Do not scan or connect to them. For documentation, use the reserved example ranges 192.0.2.0/24, 198.51.100.0/24 and 203.0.113.0/24.
They cannot appear as public internet addresses. Turn the option off to include them.
It writes all eight groups. Short forms like :: compression are not applied.
