Turn 2026-10-03 into III.X.MMXXVI, or decode MCMXCIV into 1994.
Each line of input is recognized automatically. A string made only of Roman letters is decoded to a number, a plain integer is encoded as a Roman numeral, and a date is converted part by part. Slash dates such as 3/10/2026 can be read as day first or month first, which you choose in the settings.
The output order can be day month year, month day year, or year month day, joined by a dot, hyphen, slash or space. The standard range for Roman numerals is 1 to 3999, so years outside it are left in digits.
Most Roman numeral dates follow the common European order of day, month and year, but there is no rule. Choose the order that suits your design.
3999, because standard Roman numerals have no symbol for 5000 and a bar notation for larger values is not universal.
The letters decode to a number, but the pattern is not the canonical form, as in IIII instead of IV. The value is still shown.
